Short Bio:  Dr Sharmitha is a graduate in Dental Surgery and post graduate in Public Health (Gold Medalist), Health & Hospital administration, Medical law ethics (NLSIU), Clinical Research Regulatory affairs. She Meritoriously completed a one-year post-graduate fellowship in Mental Health Education from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and is the recipient of the SPIRIT (Suicide Prevention & Implementation Research Initiative) Fellowship, a South Asia Implementation Research Fellowship in Mental Health. She is the co-creator of Helpie, India’s first Online Community Suicide Gatekeeper training (helpie.co.in). With a decade of work experience, her areas of special interest include Public Mental Health, Mental Health Education, Suicide Prevention, Health Promotion & Behaviour Change Communication, Healthcare Technology, Community Development. Being a ‘Binge Learner’, her motto is ‘Just to keep learning for the Joy of learning’!
