Short Bio:  Deepa is a Functional Nutritionist, Author and a Yoga Acharya with decades of experience in the wellness field. She brings together her experience in therapeutic & transformational yoga and deep learning in nutrition based on the principles of functional medicine to her practice Phytothrive. The focus has been on merging together the deep science of the functional world with the deep symbolism of ancient wisdom. Deepa has twenty years of experience in wellness, where she has focus on sleep nutrition, women’s health, detoxification, skin health and adrenal function. She is the host of The Sleep Whisperer Podcast with audience from the United States, India, Russia, Canada, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Austria, Spain and several other countries.

Activity:  To bring specific focus on the importance of sleep and World Sleep Day, Deepa did a soecial World Sleep Day Episode of the Sleep Whisperer Podcast on March 17th 2021 to feature sleep experts from all over the world. She included a section on what is World Sleep Day in the show notes and linked the World Sleep Day webiste for listeners to go further. The special episode included protocol snippets from many of the global experts on various episodes and spoke about the importance of the microbiome, blood sugar, mental health, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, hormones, ayurveda, yoga, nutrition and EFT in sleep, as well as the dangers of sleeping medication. The episode was created to bring specific focus to World Sleep Day and helping to raise awareness even further on the importance of sleep
