Short Bio: Dr. Tina Rokadia is an Airway Focused Dentist, living in the city of Dubai. Her clinical practice is largely based on the treatment of sleep disordered breathing in adults and children, with a focus on tongue ties and myofunctional therapy. Outside of that, she is an advocate for sleep and airway health. She achieves this goal with establishing collaboration with various providers across different specialties. She runs the AAPMD (American Academy of Physiologic Medicine and Dentistry) Liaison Airway Study Club for the UAE.
She has been on various podcasts and public speaking events, discussing topics of breathing and sleep.
Activity: Activity: Speaking to 100-150 tween/ teenagers about the importance of sleep.
Audience: These children are between the age of 10-17. They are a part of a surf-and-rescue club in Dubai, UAE.
This club, Pirates Surf, UAE, is based on the values of team work, healthy lifestyle and community.
Goals:
To educate the children about the importance of sleep with all its 6 pillars.
This is an age where sleep is hugely compromised.
