Short Bio: Maria Inês Clara is a clinical psychologist and PhD candidate at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Focused on providing quality cancer care and improving access to guideline care for insomnia for all, for her PhD project she developed a digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia program for Portuguese cancer survivors, OncoSleep.

Creation of an informative webpage featuring articles for people living with and beyond cancer, grappling with insomnia and its consequences. The purpose is educating survivors on the importance of sleep throughout the cancer journey, what to expect and offer strategies for effectively managing sleep-related challenges.

Instagram posts on @oncosleep celebrating World Sleep Day 2024 with Key Messages from this year’s theme, ‘Sleep Equity for Global Health’ (importance of sleep for health, dimensions of sleep, sleep health disparities and strategies for ensuring equitable access to sleep health for everyone). The aim of these posts was to highlight the transformative impact of sleep, ensuring that everyone recognizes its importance, raising awareness about sleep disparities, and ultimately contributing to their reduction.

Online workshop “Sleep disturbances in cancer patients”, conducted in collaboration with the Portuguese League Against Cancer – Northern Hub. The purpose of this workshop was to educate survivors on navigating the cancer journey while promoting healthy sleep practices and the management of sleep difficulties.
