Short Bio: Dr. Ajay Godse MD is trained pulmonologist & sleep medicine physician in Mumbai, India. He has completed his Mini-Fellowship in Sleep Medicine for International Scholars, by American Academy of Sleep Medicine at Emory Sleep Centre, Atlanta in 2011.
Afterwards, he has been trained in Pediatric Sleep Medicine in association with Children’s Hospital, Colorado, University of Colorado.
In 2023, he has been certified as ‘International Sleep Disorder Specialist’ by World Sleep Society.
He is actively practicing sleep medicine in Mumbai for last 10 years. His institute has the State-of-the art level 1 PSG and has conducted more than 1000 PSGs. He is routinely involved in promotion of sleep health among the general community & sharing a knowledge about various sleep disorders in medical community in CMEs & national conferences.
Activity: We have organized a ‘Sleep Health Talk’ for our patients & their relatives in our hospital auditorium.
Close to 100+ attendees availed the opportunity to listen to our conversation.
We discussed different aspects of sleep health, the need for good, refreshing sleep, effects of sleep deprivation and sleep hygiene during our dialogue.
We also touched upon types of common sleep disorders and pointers to recognize them to seek professional help.
It was a good 30 minute session. We conversed in English & Hindi (the 2 most commonly spoken languages in Mumbai), making it easier for attendees to understand.
We have recorded this session and it will be posted as a podcast on our hospital’s official YouTube channel in the patient education section.
