Short Bio: Sleep 729 is a sleep health service, first of its kind in Nigeria with a team of certified Doctors, Clinical psychologists and CBT-I therapists who help to resolve all insomnia issues, the team works with individuals to gain more control over their quality of sleep, to synchronize their natural sleep cycle and the circadian rhythm for a better and restorative sleep.

Activity: SLEEP SYMPOSIUM

the event was organized by sleep 729 sleep services, which took place at the VIP conference hall of Federal Medical Center (one of the Government Hospitals situated in the Federal Capital City of Abuja Nigeria) to enlighten individuals on the importance of quality sleep and sleep hygiene and creating awareness to the general public on sleep 729 sleep services as a specialized and unique sleep service.
The essence of the symposium was to discuss and agree on ways to call individuals back to the natural gift nature has given us, and to check ourselves if we are doing enough in a world, where people think the day is not enough thereby working even into the night, hence altering the recommended 7 to 9 hours of night sleep, and how this insufficient sleep can affect our cognition and productivity during the day.
Present in the event were delegates from Federal and private organizations among them include: The Medical Director of FMC Abuja, Doctors, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Pharmacists from the Hospital too.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) a Government Agency with statutory responsibilities for road safety administration in Nigeria. FRSC operates in all Nigerian states as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
Clinicians from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other parastatals.

Activity 1: Presentation centered on managing insomnia “to medicate or not to medicate” – this compared the use of medication vs use of CBT-I in the management of chronic insomnia. And educated the audience on CBT-i.

Activity 2: Presentation on introducing the Sleep 729 sleep medicine service as an available service that provides CBT-I in Abuja and beyond. The aim was to make people aware that a sleep medicine service was now available to provide sleep health education, assessment and treatment for sleep disorders.

Activity 3: Free sleep screening for all participants.

Activity 4: Unveiling of the Sleep Mascots – “Snoozy & Friends” Characters that were designed to represent the Sleep729 brand and to be used for the purpose of educating the public on sleep health.

The event gave room for questions, comments and reactions from participants.
