Activity: The Italian Pediatric Sleep Disordered Breathing Group (Italian Pediatric Respiratory Society -SIMRI ) participates in the event this year with:
1) One poster that offers many important messages on the topic of the World Sleep Day 2023 “ Sleep is Essential for Health”
The upper part of the poster represents the “Caduceus” or the winged staff of Aesculapius, symbol of medicine, surrounded by cradles and beds, symbols of good sleep. Health and sleep are a fundamental combination for human life.
After having highlighted the value of sleep, in the central part, the observer have a choice: What is your sleep? Everyone can choose among Owls, Larks, Dormouses and Bears. Depending on the choice, the characteristics of one’s sleep are indicated.
In the lower part, the poster becomes interactive. There is a QR code which allows access to the viewing of a movie on the topic .
2) One movie “The magical power of sleep”. The movie was made with great enthusiasm by the doctors of the Sleep Medicine Center of the Pediatric Clinic of Varese in collaboration with B-Link and the University of Insubria and represents the essential role of sleep for health.
We hope that the poster and the movie serve to make you think about the multiple roles of sleep, which is an essential part of our lives.
