Short Bio: Marc Richard Moeller, Managing Director of the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT www.aomtinfo.org), and Executive Director and Founding Board Chair of the Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences (www.aamsinfo.org), has spoken on Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) in over 40 countries to date and supported the facilitation of research, public health projects, clinical protocols, and curriculum development in OMT with over 100 universities, hospital groups, and governments around the world. Since 2011 Marc has been on a Public Health Committee of the Teste de Linguinha (Frenulum Insepction Protocol) organized out of Brazil that has helped medically validate frenulum inspection protocols for infants (Martinelli) and adolescents/adults (Marchesan) that has passed 18 laws (including a national law in Brazil effective since January 2015) requiring frenulum inspection at birth for newborns. Marc is a graduate of University of California, San Diego and is based in Los Angeles. Marc has been an adjunct professor at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. He is currently doing graduate work at the Yale School of Public Health where he is in the Executive Master’s of Public Health Program. He is also currently Foinding Board Chair, Executive Director, and Secretary of the International Pediatric Orthodontic Society/IPOS, à Geneva, Switzerland based and registered non-profit, global scientific society. Marc is also founder and Chair of the Airway Research Institute, an EU based foundation focused on airway research and public health, registered in Estonia.

Activity: The Airway Research Institute, MTU, (ARI), moved today work to reframe the treatment of sleep disorders from the acute disease state, towards prevention. To that end, ARI moved to establish the first patient’s organization for sleep disordered patients in Estonia, to launch a research and public health project to screen school children in Estonia for myofunctional disorders and sleep disorders with related validated screening protocols with a child oriented clinical caravan; and to help facilitate the further develop and replicate these models within Europe and around the world. Furthermore, a group of volunteers from a precision medicine clinical sleep center under development, Novel Clinic, underwent press training at a PR firm to develop strategies to better enact public health strategies. Amongst those present for this work were Marc Richard Moeller, Triin Jagomagi, DDS, MS, PhD & Hoang An Dao of Tartu University, Estonia, Luca Roberti, President of the Italian Sleep Apnea Organization, Sten Argos, CEO, & Lauri Kais, MD, ENT, of Novel Clinic.
