Activity: Sleep is essential to health, but measurable differences in sleep health persist across populations across the world, creating additional burdens and reinforcing health inequities.
We all encourage sleep health and #WorldSleepDay; our combined effort exceeds the sum of its parts. Spread the word about sleep health on World Sleep Day and help elevate the conversation around sleep. Addressing sleep equity will reduce these sleep disparities and will contribute to improving human health & wellness around the globe.
Does GERD Cause Sleep Apnea?
No, GERD does not cause sleep apnoea, but it can occur secondary to obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Although there are few studies examining the relationship between the two conditions, there’s a high prevalence, with 58-62% of OSA patients with GERD.
Sleep Workshop is also organized in association with Resmed & Philips Respironics to understand better each disease that had modified our lifestyle & how to cure them by undergoing tests required & devices needed with simple & easy to understand questionnaires & multimedia slides on patient education.
