Short Bio: SLEEPCARE CLINICS of Sleep and Respiratory Medicine offer comprehensive medical services to people with respiratory conditions or sleep disorders, especially sleep apnea and long COVID.
It is a multidisciplinary team of specialists in different areas of medicine and other professions, competent to diagnose and treat sleep disorders, their causes, complications and comorbidities. It currently has a presence on four continents, in 20 countries, with more than 50 clinicians from 18 specialties who can assist patients in more than ten languages.
Activity: We are working in Spain (Majorca), the UK (Leicester) and Venezuela (Merida.
During the week we had several activities in the three cities.
Majorca, Spain, we had several seminars in different primary care health centres. All members of those centres participated and we answered their questions. They are now aware of the importance of sleep medicine for global health. In our LinkedIn profile, we posted a video. We were interviewed by a journalist and it will be published soon. We recently won an award from Colegio de Medicos de las Islas Baleares.
Merida, Venezuela, many activities took place during the week. Several seminars in primary care health centres of the city and county. Aerobics Ina public park celebrating World Sleep Day, after a brief seminar for awareness of the importance.
In several schools, we had “slumber parties” and we discussed the importance of sleep for our life and health and wellbeing. Children will write a poem, draw a picture or write a story about their experiences and thoughts about the issue.
