Short Bio: Sleep Therapeutics is an advanced centre for Sleep Medicine located in Hyderabad, India. We have 5 level 1 sleep labs, HST facility, pulmonologist, sleep specialist, psychiatrist, psychologist, dietician and fitness coach. Our aim is to create awareness regarding sleep related disorders, diagnose and treat sleep issues in a holistic and integrated approach. Dr. Harshini Errabelli, MD is the Founder and Director of this centre.
Activity: For this World Sleep Day, March 15th 2024, we did a different kind of awareness activity. Today world is full of screens and digital influence is higher than any other media. hence we chose social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp channels to create awareness regarding obstructive sleep apnea.
Activity : In our social media pages i.e., Sleep Therapeutics in Facebook and Sleep Therapeutics India in Instagram, we conducted a contest named Top Snorer’s Contest. We posted a series of snoring related posts on the page from Feb 26th 2024 and finally we put a post asking people to tag 3 of their snoring friends and comment about their snore. One who posts the funniest comment with maximum number of likes would win the contest with a cash prize of INR 10,000. Our post was viewed by 467430 people from which 3228 people shared it to their friends and 62 people participated. Out of 62, we gave 3 participants cash prize and gifts.
Purpose of contest : When people find fun in something, they tend to participate. Once they see about the center or informative content about sleep issues in our page, they tend to understand that sleep issues are rampant and snoring is an issue to be considered seriously. Snoring friends who were tagged got to know the bad consequences of snoring and sleep apnea, they got sleep studies done, OSA were identified and treated.
We are glad to reach 0.4million people through World Sleep Day activity
