We recently started Level-1 lab facilities at our hospital and in the last few 5 months we have done 60 studies (diagnostic, titration and split-night).

Activity: On the occasion of World Sleep Day, we organized an offline educational activity for General Practitioners on 19th March’2023. Aim was to educate regarding the importance of Sleep and various sleep disorders. It was jointly organized by me (Dr Prashant Makhija, Neurologist) along with my colleagues- Dr Malik Merchant (Psychiatrist) and Dr Sohil Gala (ENT Surgeon). We had 148 participants which not only included General Practitioners but also some ENT surgeons, Psychiatrists, Physicians and Nurses.

I spoke on Sleep in general and also gave an overview of sleep disorders. Dr Malik Merchant (Psychiatrist) spoke on Insomnia and CBTi while Dr Sohil Gala (ENT surgeon) spoke on Drug induced sleep endoscopy and surgical management of OSA.

We have come together as a team to offer services for sleep disorders at our hospital.
