Short Bio: Association founded in 2000 on the initiative of the French Society for Research and Sleep Medicine, the National Institute of Sleep and Vigilance (INSV) brings together individuals working in sleep and vigilance care. INSV is committed to gaining recognition for sleep as a fundamental component of everyone’s health. Our mission is to provide information and raise awareness about sleep disorders, sleep hygiene, and vigilance among the general public, and to advocate for its importance as a crucial element of health to public authorities.

Activity: “Sleep, Exercise, and Nutrition” or “Eat, Move, Sleep” are linked to the upcoming Olympic Games set to take place in Paris this summer.
In celebration of World Sleep Day, INSV aims to promote good practices regarding physical activity, sleep, and eating habits.
Our objective is to highlight that reducing sedentary behavior correlates with improved sleep quality. Engaging in regular physical activity enhances overall well-being and quality of life. Both sleep and physical activity play crucial roles in regulating circadian rhythms, body temperature, cardiovascular and metabolic functions, and are linked to the prevention of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Furthermore, they influence the nervous system, anxiety levels, and symptoms of depression.

• Free and open digital or physical events organized by sleep centers and specialized facilities in approximately 60 cities: Open days, specialist-led conferences, workshops, meetings with patient associations, exhibitions, prevention booths, etc.
