Short Bio: Dr. Meira e Cruz is currently the head of the Sleep Unit of Cardiovascular Center of University of Lisbon and the President of the Portuguese Association of Chronobiology and Sleep Medicine. Prof. Meira e Cruz is also Director of the European Sleep Center and Foreign Visiting Professor of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, in Campinas, Brazil.
He’s engaged in several research programs in the scope of clinical chronobiology and sleep physiology and medicine with a main research focus on the interaction between sleep, pain and cardiometabolic risk.
Activity: In June 13 and 14, Dr. Meira e Cruz will lead the 3rd Portuguese Congress of Chronobiology and Sleep Medicine, in the Lisbon School of Medicine, joining together several recognized clinicians and researchers in the a unique opportunity for establishment of important networking on sleep medicine field.
In 17th of April, Prof. Meira e Cruz will lead a symposium in Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, Campinas, Brazil in the topic – “Sleep for Life: an integrative symposium on sleep and public health”
