Activity:
Our Sleep Service Patient Support Group is advertised to our patient group, predominanty with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea but also a proportion with Central/Complex Sleep Apnoea and Type 2 Respiratory Failure on nocturnal ventilation. As it coinsides with World Sleep Day this time we are opening the group up to non-patients who can attend for general information about our service and the conditions we treat. We have Manufacturer representatives and local weight loss services available with their latest products and activity information and aim for an interactive session focused on what our patients want to hear about. We also have our Patient Ambassadors available and a question and answer session with the team. We welcome anyone to our group with an interest in our service and the conditions we treat.

Short Bio:
We are an Outpatient Consultant Led Service with four Sleep Specialist Nurse/Practitioners who diagnose, treat and monitor patients predominantly with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. We have 25 clinic sessions per week and are currently managing referral to CPAP treatment in roughly eight weeks. We are able to offer AutoASV and NIV devices to non-dependant patients meeting certain clinical criteria and have a strong focus on lifestyle choices and modifications to improve general health and wellbeing as well as sleep disordered breathing.
