Scope of Activity: Enduring program
Activity: To celebrate World Sleep Day and promote the mission of the World Sleep Organization, my high school classes participate in lessons on sleep hygiene and healthy sleep practices, including sleep assessments to identify deficits in healthy sleep habits and to identify risk for sleep disorders, followed by activities using the TED Ed Sleeping with Science series. We set measurable, attainable goals to improve student sleep as we reach midterm and the change from standard time to daylight savings time. As a culminating activity, we have a class World Sleep Day Nap In to help students reset and recharge.
