Delegate Short Bio: Jo Bower is an Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, where she teaches in the school of Psychology. Her research interests include the associations between sleep, emotion, and mental health, and she is a passionate advocate for improving public awareness of the importance of sleep.

Scope of Activity: Individual activity

Activity: UK sleep researchers from University of East Anglia, University of Lincoln, Lincoln Bishop University, and the NHS are coming together to host a series of sleep-related talks in celebration of World Sleep Day.

In the morning we will come together to discuss sleep in university communities, including findings from our recently piloted ‘Great UEA Sleep Survey’ and thoughts about how we can improve the sleep health of university students.

Following this, we will be offering sleep lab tours, in which we demonstrate the range of facilities and studies we have currently underway at the university. Then in the afternoon, members of UEA sleep research community will give short talks outlining their current research.
