Scope of Activity: Individual activity
Activity: To recognise World Sleep Day, the school community will take part in a themed wellbeing day to raise awareness of the importance of healthy sleep habits. Pupils and staff are invited to come to school wearing their pyjamas and bring along a favourite book or cuddly toy to help create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
Throughout the day, pupils will participate in a range of age-appropriate lesson activities exploring the importance of sleep and how it supports physical health, emotional wellbeing and the ability to concentrate and learn. Discussions and activities will encourage pupils to think about healthy bedtime routines, the impact of screen time before bed, and ways to improve sleep habits.
Alongside the educational element, the day will include enjoyable and calming activities designed to promote relaxation, reading for pleasure and positive wellbeing. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of how good sleep supports mental health and learning, while creating a fun and supportive experience for pupils and staff.
