Short Bio: Gill is a Yoga Therapist (National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists) and Accessible Yoga Teacher based in the UK, on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Activity: Sharing a yoganidra meditation which supports on-set of sleep, and the recording can be listened to during wake-ups within the night to help the person return to sleep.
Yoganidra helps down-regulate the nervous system, shift awareness away from the thinking mind, and into feeling the body. Nidra helps shift brainwave activity from beta to alpha (meditative state), and alpha to theta (dreamlike state). Reducing blood pressure, calming the system, enabling the person to let go into deep rest and ultimately sleep.
