Delegate Short Bio: As a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy Department with 5 sleep labs under our department we are handling both adults and children with more than 100 sleep studies per month and all types of sleep studies are performed along with home sleep tests.

World Sleep Day Celebration 2026

Executive Summary
On March 17, 2026, the Respiratory Therapy Department at SKMC hosted a celebration and awareness campaign under the theme “Sleep Well, Live Better.” The event included on-site clinical screenings and virtual educational outreach to promote sleep hygiene.

Key Activities & Highlights
1. On-Site Sleep Wellness Screenings: The Respiratory Therapy team provided free screenings in the SKMC Main Lobby. The hub featured medical mannequins with sleep diagnostic sensors to demonstrate polysomnography and distributed educational materials on sleep hygiene.
2. Longevity Webinar: Dr. Sofia, Consultant Pulmonology, presented “Generation Z and Sleep” to 200 staff members. The session was accredited for 1 CME Credit (Category II) and explored unique sleep challenges and their long-term impact on longevity.
3. Public Awareness & Engagement: Digital and physical signage highlighted the importance of consistent sleep schedules. A multidisciplinary team was also available to provide expert consultations on respiratory-related sleep issues.
Outcome & Impact
The event reached over 200 virtual participants and 125 in-person visitors. It successfully reinforced SKMC’s commitment to preventative medicine and positioned the Respiratory Therapy Department as a leader in sleep health and hygiene.
