Activity: “When Will I Finally Sleep Well?” — World Sleep Day Campaign by Center inPsy
In honor of World Sleep Day 2026, the Center of Sleep and Mental Health «inPsy» (Poltava, Ukraine) conducted a multi-format public awareness campaign focused on sleep health during wartime conditions.
1. Open Public Talk with a Somnologist (March 13, 2026, in-person, Poltava)
An open, free-of-charge conversation with a certified somnologist titled “When Will I Finally Sleep Well?” The event brought together community members to discuss sleep problems without medical jargon or false promises — just honest, practical dialogue. Participants asked about the most common wartime sleep complaints: nighttime awakenings, racing thoughts at bedtime, and inability to feel rested. Registration was required; the event was held in person in Poltava city.
2. Educational Reels Series (Instagram, @inpsy_center)
A series of short educational videos published in the days surrounding World Sleep Day, covering the most common sleep complaints reported by clients:
“I go to bed and my brain switches on full power” — about racing thoughts at bedtime
“I wake up at night and can’t fall back asleep” — explaining nighttime awakening patterns
“Remove the clock from your bedroom” — a simple, evidence-based behavioral tip
“What’s safe to drink for sleep?” — debunking supplement myths
“Sleep is not a luxury” — a World Sleep Day address about the importance of rest during wartime
3. Free Educational Guide on Nighttime Awakenings
A free downloadable guide was created and distributed to followers who commented on the campaign posts. The guide covered: what to do at 3 AM, how to feel slightly better in the morning, and practical strategies — without promising instant results.
