Short Bio: Rayleigh Ping-Ying Chiang, MD, PhD, is the founder and sleep physician at SleepWell Sleep Disorders Center. He has worked in the field of sleep medicine for more than 30 years. He was granted the Board Certificated Grandparent Somnologist by the European Sleep Research Society in 2013 and is the sole Asian scholar who has received this award.

Dr. Chiang has made significant contributions to academia. In 2012, he pioneered a new academic discipline by publishing a textbook on Sleep Technology with Springer. His passion for sleep medicine is evident as he devotes his time outside clinical responsibilities to educating students about sleep medicine. He is currently a Professor at China Medical University in Taiwan and concurrently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Chiang is an active participant in academic exchange. He has been invited to several sleep-related forums within the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. He demonstrated strong collaboration with international institutions as he has been awarded the Investigator Award from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Currently, he is also the President of the International Sleep Science and Technology Association (ISSTA) in Berlin and the CEO of the Innovative and Health Technology Center (IMHTC) in the UK.

In 2021 he founded SleepWell Sleep Technology Co., Ltd and engaged in the research and development of sleep technology products. He aims to ensure individuals with sleep disorders improve their sleeping quality and receive the appropriate treatment.
