Delegate: Nattiluxe
Delegate Short Bio: Nattiluxe is a Stockholm-based, women-led maison that designs and handcrafts personalised beds and sleep environments built entirely from natural, VOC-free materials. Each Nattiluxe bed is designed in Sweden and handcrafted in Europe, combining traditional craftsmanship with careful material selection to support restorative sleep.
The company focuses on breathable natural fibres, calibrated support, and responsible textiles to create beds that promote healthy indoor air quality, thermal balance, and long-term comfort. Every piece is made to order and can be tailored in dimensions, materials, textiles, and detailing, allowing clients to create a sleep environment aligned with their individual needs.
Rooted in the Scandinavian relationship with nature, Nattiluxe integrates principles of wellbeing through design into both its products and spaces. From its flagship showroom in Stockholm to hospitality collaborations and international clients, the company brings together natural materials, quiet technology, and thoughtful design to support restorative sleep and healthier living environments.
The founder of Nattiluxe believes each person experiences the world through their own perspective and that perspective is strongly influenced by the quality of their sleep. A well rested person makes better decisions, produces happiness hormones, feels more satisfied and feels more hope and positivity than one that is sleep deprived. Supporting better sleep therefore contributes to improved personal wellbeing and healthier households and therefore a better world.
Scope of Activity: Campaign of multiple activities
Activity: Restorative Sleep Awareness 2026 | Wellbeing Through Design by Nattiluxe
Project Summary
World Sleep Day encourages global awareness of the importance of healthy sleep for human wellbeing. Nattiluxe supports this mission through an ongoing 2026 initiative that begins on World Sleep Day and continues throughout the year through a series of curated activities, partnerships, and environments designed to raise awareness of restorative sleep.
The initiative is based on a clear premise: sleep is influenced by the environments surrounding us. Light, materials, air quality, sound, temperature, and daily habits all affect the body’s ability to recover. Nattiluxe uses its network, spaces, collaborations, and public-facing activities to bring awareness to this connection and to promote wellbeing through design.
Stockholm provides a natural reference point for this message. Built across islands and surrounded by water and forests, the city reflects a close relationship with nature, daylight, and calm sensory conditions. These environmental qualities increasingly inform how people think about recovery, stress regulation, and sleep. Nattiluxe draws on this context to show how the principles found in nature can be translated into interior spaces and shared experiences.
At the Nattiluxe flagship store on Storgatan 29 in Stockholm, visitors encounter a restorative environment created in collaboration with partners including Nestwell, Baseco, Graphenstone, Bang & Olufsen, Lizzo, and other brands. The space brings together foam-free and VOC-free sleep systems, natural Scandinavian wooden floors, organic breathable textiles, air-purifying paints and circadian lighting, among others. The flagship serves as a year-round platform for raising awareness of how design choices influence calm, recovery, and sleep quality.
The initiative also extends into hospitality through the Nestwell suite at Hotel J, featuring a totally natural bed by Nattiluxe where the concept has been implemented in a live setting. This environment connects restorative sleep with a broader experience of wellbeing through design, including proximity to the sea, calm surroundings, and the integration of natural materials and quiet technology.
Beginning on World Sleep Day and continuing through 2026, Nattiluxe’s activities include journaling in collaboration with The Algorithms of Life, phone-free gatherings in collaboration with Look Up movement, connection with nature by the water, sauna and cold immersion, slow textiles experiences, and original sound tracks created to encourage calm and remind participants of the importance of sleep, restoration and putting oneself first. These activities are not framed as instruction, but as awareness-building experiences that connect people with the conditions that support better sleep.
The conversation continues through additional public moments during the year, including Stockholm Beauty Week on April 27, where Nattiluxe highlights the relationship between sleep and natural glow, visible wellbeing, and the importance of prioritising recovery in order to care for oneself and others with greater steadiness.
Through this year-long initiative, Nattiluxe contributes to the mission of World Sleep Day by promoting awareness that restorative sleep is shaped not only by personal behaviour, but by the environments and rhythms that surround us every day.
