Short Bio: The Sleep and Health Network was formed in 2004 and is a network for those who in their profession meet people with sleep problems. Examples of professional categories within the network are nurses, biomedical analysts, psychologists, physiotherapists, physicians, dentists and occupational therapists.
The network's intentions are that different areas of interest within "Sleep and Health" be coordinated and contribute with ideas, present research and experience-based knowledge.
The Sleep and Health Network is a network in the Swedish Nurses' Association (SSF), a professional association that works for nurses' professional development and for good nursing care.
Activity: Conference Sleep and Health 2025
The Sleep and Health 2025 Conference is organized by Sleep and Health Network of the Swedish Nurses Association in collaboration with the Research Platform for Collaboration for Health at Kristianstad University, Sweden. The conference aims to disseminate practical, practice-oriented knowledge about sleep and health.

Program Summary
Wednesday, March 12:
• 12:00–13:00: Registration and light lunch
• 13:00–14:30: Sleep Equity seminar focusing on sleep in relation to socio-economic factors and equality, presented in English by Judite Blanc, PhD, Assistant Professor (University of Miami, USA).
• 14:30–15:00: Coffee break
• 15:00–16:30: Teenage Sleep seminar focusing on adolescent sleep, presented in English by Professor Judith Owens (Harvard Medical School, USA).
Thursday, March 13 – Conference Day (Presentations in Swedish and English):
• 08:30–16:30:
o Registration, opening remarks, and a series of presentations on topics including Sleep Equity, Children and Sleep, Teenage Sleep, Depression and Sleep Health, and the link between sleep and mental health.
o Poster presentations intersperse the sessions, with coffee breaks at 10:00 and 14:30.
o Afternoon sessions include a talk on Effective Methods for Helping Individuals with Insomnia, followed by a panel discussion and wrap-up.
• 16:30–19:00: Networking social event in the Glashuset (Building 7).
Friday, March 14 – Conference Day (Presentations in Swedish):
• 09:00–15:30:
o Sessions cover topics such as Respiratory-Related Sleep Disorders, Collaborative Sleep Research with examples from school projects, Promoting Sleep in Hospitals, Sleep and Aging, Restless Legs Syndrome, and Sleep and Memory.
o The day concludes with an award ceremony (best poster and inspirational person of the year) and closing remarks.
