2. What does dentistry have to do with sleep? – Dr Elaine Ng
Many people are unaware that dentistry is often the first line in detecting many common medical conditions. Sleep breathing disorders are one of these. Did you know that snoring and grinding of the teeth may be a sign of a more serious underlying problem? A sleep-trained dentist, Dr Elaine Ng has established a highly accurate and effective screening program for patients, and is also involved in the treatment various sleep breathing disorders with oral appliance therapy, which are a comfortable and easy to use option for patients.

3. Healing Insomnia by Trusting your Sleep Again – Dr Julian Lim
People suffering from insomnia often think their sleep is “broken” and spend a lot of time and effort to “fix” the problem, often to no avail. In his practice, Dr Julian Lim works with such clients to change their mindset and adopt a radical new view: that there’s nothing to fix about their sleep, and that the key to recovery is in relearning how to trust their minds and bodies. Dr Julian Lim will give an overview of some of the practices he use in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based therapy, two recommended treatments for insomnia, and explain why these key elements help to restore healthy and satisfying sleep.
