As part of the World Sleep Day 2016 activities, the Sleep Medicine and Research Center at King Abdulaziz University Hospital conducted an event “Good sleep is a reachable dream.” This was held at the Red Sea Mall the night of March 18. The aim was to increase awareness regarding common sleep disorders and to draw attention concerning the local availability of SLEEP CENTERS that are capable of diagnosing and treating such disorders.
Some of the activities were distributing of brochures, demonstrating the devices used to treat sleep apnea (CPAP), offering free consultations, mini lectures regarding good sleep hygiene, as well as life hook up for sleep studies. This event was actually well attended, more than 160 consultations were done, and was well represented in the media.
