Delegate Short Bio: I am Anamaria Matioc, a medical professional with a strong interest in otolaryngology and sleep-disordered breathing. I have participated in medical conferences and symposia, including the “Zilele Medicale Sălăjene” Symposium, where I presented my work on the role of the ENT specialist in identifying and managing patients with progressive sleep-related breathing disorders.
My professional interests include improving early diagnosis, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to the advancement of patient-centered care. Activity: The activity consisted of presenting the paper “From Snoring to Severe Apnea: When Should the ENT Specialist Intervene?” at the 26th edition of the “Zilele Medicale Sălăjene” Symposium.
This activity was aimed at supporting the medical community by enhancing awareness and knowledge regarding sleep-disordered breathing, particularly the progression from simple snoring to obstructive sleep apnea. The primary goal was to provide clinicians with practical and up-to-date information on early recognition, appropriate referral, and timely intervention by the ENT specialist.
The presentation addressed an audience of healthcare professionals, including ENT specialists, general practitioners, pulmonologists, and residents. It contributed to continuing medical education by highlighting current diagnostic approaches, therapeutic options, and the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration.
