Short Bio: Dr. Jimenez is a neurologist and sleep medicine specialist. She lead the expansion of sleep diagnostic and therapeutic services in the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in Puerto Rico, including AASM sleep lab accreditation and the establishment of the first and only ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine training program in PR and the Caribbean. Fellow graduates, all first taker board-certified, advance sleep medicine care and education working in academia and in private practice in Puerto Rico and abroad. Dr. Jimenez has been WSD Delegate and organized WSD activities since 2017.
Activity: Goals:
To increase awareness of the importance of prioritizing sleep by offering educational activities about sleep health, sleep disorders and treatments for our veterans, caregivers, employees and public.
To provide education on sleep health, sleep disorders and therapies, including the use of positive airway therapy devices.
