Activity:
Annually, Sleep Society of Thailand created the World Sleep Day activity of translating theme “Make Sleep Health a Priority” into Thai language. This activity let the general people to join the translation in order to promote World Sleep Day. Committee agreed to choose สุขภาพดีเริ่มที่ “การนอน” to be Thai slogan. Miss Jamchan Prateepmanowong was the winner for the Thai World Sleep Day theme contest and was awarded by Assoc. Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan, president of Sleep Society of Thailand.

The Thai slogan was used to promote better sleep over the country. Many hospitals held World Sleep Day activities to increase awareness in sleep health.
- Phramongkutklao Hospital, Bangkok Thailand
The activities were held on March 7th in Phramongkutklao hospital, collaborated with Sleep Society of Thailand, Department of Health and Department of Disease Control from Ministry of Public Health. The first topic was sleepiness and driving to raise concern in safe drive and sleepiness is a problem leading to sleep disorders. Because there is a long holiday in Songkran festival in April, people will return to their hometown by land travel mostly. The other topics were sleep hygiene, snoring: warning signs, snoring in children and bruxism. We also had Q& A sessions and self-assessment for sleepiness and OSA.

2. The King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand
On March 4th, we held the 8th of Chula World Sleep Day 2025. Assoc. Prof. Chancai Sittipunt, MD (director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital), Assoc. Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan, MD (president of Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders and president of Sleep Society of Thailand), Sutham Setthawong, MD (medical director of Benchakitti park hospital), Department of Health from Ministry of Public Health and sleep multidisciplinary team joined the event. There were sleep exhibition, acrylic painting by medical student, artwork from high school students and sleep counseling activities.

4. Ramathibodi Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand
On March 24th, the talk activity was held. The topic comprised of development and sleep in children, sleep longevity, dental instrument for OSA and sleep quality. There were two guests joining the events: Miss Universe Thailand 2022 and Miss Ayutthaya 2025. In addition, we had a competition in the theme of “Sleep Super Hero.”

5. Central Chest Institute of Thailand (CCIT), Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health, Nonthaburi, Thailand
On March 13th, a sleep talk was arranged with the topics of impact of sleep, insomnia and sleep surgery. There was also a counseling service about sleep problems and mini concert. An OSA patient was invited to share his experience.

6. Sleep Disorders Center, Faculty of Medicine, Chiangmai University, Chiangmai
The Sleep Disorders Center, Center of Medical Excellence, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, successfully organized the “World Sleep Day 2025” event of March 14, 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness and promote the importance of health sleep habits while preventing sleep-related disorders. Under the theme “Make Sleep Health a Priority”, the event focused on educating the public about Sleep Hygiene and the prevention of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The event featured an expert panel discussion on “Promoting Good Sleep Hygiene in Children, Adults, and the Elderly”, led by specialists from the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. The speakers included Associate Professor Dr. Theerakom Theerakittikul (Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine), Assistant Professor Dr. Nantaporn Teeyapan (Neurology), and Associate Professor Dr. Kanokkan Sankonkit (Pediatrics.) Additional activities included a CPAP user experience sharing session, consultations with the Sleep Health Analysis Centers staff, CPAP device check-ups provided and a Q& A session with prize giveaways. The event successfully attracted 150 participants, who gained valuable knowledge to improve their sleep quality and overall well-being.

7. Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla Unviersity, Hat-Yai, Songkhla
To mark the World Sleep Day 2025 “Make Sleep health a priority: the Faculty of Dentistry in Thailand made this day special event to encourage awareness for the public. We realized that dentists could have an essential role in Sleep Medicine especially in OSA which had consequences of major systemic diseases. Sleep bruxism was the one that causes the oral health deterioration that many people overlook. National Broadcast Television (NTB) and an online channel attended the event to make news.
