Short Bio: The Philippine College of Chest Physicians is a professional group of Pulmonologists. It has a Council on Sleep Medicine which is tasked to conduct programs meant to educate and increase awareness on Sleep among fellow doctors, medical allied staff and the general public.
Activity: The members of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP) Council on Sleep Medicine conducted public forums in hospitals all over the country to celebrate World Sleep Day. Scientific Lectures on Digital Sleep Medicine by Dr. Eric Moral and OSA-COPD Overlap Syndrome by Dr. Abigail Zaraspe were given during the Annual PCCP Convention. An online Course titled APT. APT. (Sleep Breathe 2025) was held on March 29, 2025 where Sleep Specialists Dr. Shareefa Mandangan, Dr. Edison De Vera and Dr. Ivarrene Cahinde discussed diagnosis and management of sleep apnea. Dr. Kristel Chua-Lim and Dr. Frances Magturo hosted the event. Digital posters on sleep hygiene and sleep apnea were also shared in social media for the public awareness.
