Scope of Activity: Enduring program
Activity: To celebrate World Sleep Day, we organized a seminar at our facility for members of our team and a few people from the surrounding community. The aim of the activity was to educate participants about the importance of healthy sleep and how proper sleep habits contribute to overall health and wellbeing.
During the seminar, we gave a presentation on sleep cycles and their role in maintaining good health. We explained how the different stages of sleep help the body rest, recover, and support brain function. Participants were also informed about common sleep problems and the effects of poor sleep on daily activities and long-term health.
As part of the session, we gave attendees a tour of the sleep laboratory, where they could see how sleep studies are conducted. We also demonstrated a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine, explaining how it is used to help patients with sleep-related breathing disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
The goals of the activity were to:
Raise awareness about the importance of healthy sleep habits
Educate the community about sleep cycles and sleep-related health issues
Introduce participants to sleep study services available at our facility
Encourage people experiencing sleep problems to seek professional help
Overall, the seminar helped increase awareness about sleep health and allowed participants to learn more about the services and equipment used to diagnose and manage sleep disorders.
