Activity: WORLD SLEEP DAY 2026 AT THE SUB- SPECIALTY CLINIC, FMC OWO, ONDO STATE, NIGERIA
Federal Medical Centre, Owo, is located in Ondo State. The hospital provides healthcare services at the secondary and tertiary levels to the people within its catchment areas, which are Ondo, Kogi, Edo, Ekiti, and Osun States. It also receives patients from almost all the states of the Federation because it is situated a stone’s throw from the highway that links Abuja to Lagos.
The outreach is scheduled to be held at the clinic foyer on 16th March 2026 at 8 am during the health talk before consultation. The Cardiology, Pulmonology, Urology, and General Surgery clinic holds on this day.
Most of these patients come to the clinic with their relatives, so we intend to have a large audience comprising both healthy and not-so-healthy individuals.
On average,100 patients are seen per day
Activity: FMC Owo World Sleep Day 2026 activities aim to raise awareness among patients for this year’s theme- “Sleep well, live better.”
A short lecture on sleep and the benefits of sleeping well will be highlighted
Fliers and posters that describe the health benefits of sleep and sleep hygiene will be shared.
These will be written in both English and Yoruba (the native language of that locality)
The session will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
