The article focused raising awareness regarding on the common misconceptions about sleep, common signs of sleep disorders, how technology affects our sleep patterns , sleep and mental health issues as well as key habits to help people sleep better.

March 15, Health Talk on Sleep Equity and Sleep Hygiene at the Medical Out Patient Clinic of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital complex, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
on March 13 2024 there was a webinar titled ‘Health Care Worker Related Fatigue, local perspectives and Global Impact’ hosted on the Zoom platform of the World Sleep Society.
The meeting was attended by over 40 participants across Africa, Some of the questions Were
1. In Nigeria, where there is no standard policy for shift work, Doctors work about 12 to 16 hours /day when they are on call, can you suggest what can be done to reduce the complications associated with shift work disorders ?
2. In our setting where there are dwindling numbers of resident doctors and health care workers with consequent increase in work load, it might not be feasible to adopt recommendations for shift workers . So any life style measures that we can adopt to offset the stress and health risks we are being exposed to ?

The session was very interactive and a communique from the session will be given to stakeholders in the institution and Federal level for consideration adoption and implementation.
