Short Bio: Sleep729 is a sleep service located in Nigeria that provides novel treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders. At Sleep729, we provide individualised and holistic treatment to cater for the peculiarities and needs of the patient. We employ behavioural techniques to improve the quantity and quality of sleep. We work with our patients towards achieving the recommended 7 to 9 hours of night sleep. Using our structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) programme, we resolve insomnia without the use of sleeping medication. CBT-I is considered as a first line treatment insomnia and is more effective without the unpleasant side effects or long-term health concerns that come with sleeping pills.
Activity: This year’s World Sleep Day had the theme “Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World”. Sleep729 organized a free Sleep Seminar that focused on answering questions related to normal sleep, abnormal sleep, sleep disorders and sleep hygiene. The theme for the Sleep Seminar was “Wake up! Let’s Get to Sleep” and it was centred on conversations around ways of achieving quality sleep.
