Activity: The World Sleep Day, 2021 held on 19th March 2021, with the theme “Regular Sleep, Healthy Future”. Awareness Programme started with Jingles from 1st to 16th of March. The jingle was played during ‘Oropo’ in the morning at Orisun FM Radio station (89.5FM), Ile-Ife, Osun State (8:00am to 8:30am) for about 8times every other day to sensitize the public. The 1hour phone-in programme on sleep awareness held on the 16th March, 2021, commenced by 2pm at OrisunFM Radio station (89.5FM), Ile-Ife, Osun State. Ajoro, a 5mins audio was played three times per day at 6:30am,12:30pm and 6:30pm on 18th of March, 2021. The Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter also organized a General House virtual meeting on the 19th March, 2021 with the theme “Zero tolerance to Cancers”. The topics discussed were: 2. The Necessity of Sleep for Medical Women by Prof. MA Komolafe, Professor of Neurology. The World Sleep Day 2021 was enlightening as it addressed the importance of regular sleep for a healthy future for health workers and the public Questions asked 1. What are the causes of poor sleep in an elderly person 2. What is the cause of excessive sleepiness in a young teenager. 3. Can Melatonin be used for sleep deprivation in the health worker?
