Activity: Healthy sleep: A right or a privilege?
This a webinar being hosted by the New Zealand branch of the Australasian Sleep Association. With Dr Dee Muller (Sleep/Wake Research Centre, Massey University) Chaired by Dr Karyn O’Keeffe and Dr Rosie Gibson (Massey University)

Sleep supports us to live our best lives but does everyone in our society have the same opportunities for good sleep health? This webinar will give an overview of what the research tells us about sleep health inequities across the life course in Aotearoa New Zealand, provide food for thought about whether healthy sleep is a basic human right or a privilege and discuss what this may mean in relation to health, wellbeing and actions needed going forward.

Dee Muller is a leading researcher exploring social determinants of sleep in New Zealanders, as well as sleep equity and the role of sleep in equitable health and wellbeing outcomes. This is a great opportunity to showcase research being conducted in New Zealand that has relevance for the sleep community and beyond.
