Delegate Short Bio: Malaysian Dentofacial Sleep Society (MDSS) is a non- profit organisation with the aim to advance dental sleep medicine through education, collaboration, and public awareness, integrating dentistry into the broader sleep-medicine multidisciplinary framework.
Promote dental sleep medicine and airway-focused dental care in Malaysia.
Educate dentists and the public on sleep-disordered breathing and airway health, especially from a dental and craniofacial perspective.
Provide multidisciplinary education, webinars, and programs for clinicians interested in managing adult and paediatric sleep-related breathing disorders through dental approaches. Build network between dentists and medical and health professionals in promoting good sleep for public.
Increase awareness of sleep health and its impact on overall health and quality of life.
It is affiliated to World Dentofacial Sleep Society.
Scope of Activity: Enduring program
Activity: Onsite Course on *Introduction Sleep Medicine for Dentists*, held on March 26,2026.
We wish to create more awareness among dental community on sleep health, and train more dentists on how to do sleep screening for our dental patients. This can increase work force in interdisciplinary team in management of sleep disorders. Early screening provides better success in some sleep disorders.
