The programme aimed to educate participants on the importance of maintaining good sleep health, preventing drowsiness while travelling, and managing fatigue during the fasting month.

The session was delivered by Professor Dr Louis Adaikalam, President of Malaysia Sleep Apnea Association. The talk highlighted the relationship between sleep quality, alertness, and safety, especially when individuals travel back to their hometowns during Ramadan and festive periods.

Key topics covered during the programme included:

• Causes of frequent daytime sleepiness
• The risks and dangers of microsleep while driving
• The effects of sleep deprivation during Ramadan
• Preparing for safe long-distance travel during the festive season
• Recommended sleep practices during the month of Ramadan.

The programme also included a Ramadan Buffet gathering, allowing participants to engage in networking and discussions on sleep health in a relaxed setting.
