Sleep Secrets during the month of Ramadan
For the World Sleep Day 2025, we have decided to conduct a talk at the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia on Sleep Secrets during the month of Ramadan [Rahsia Tidur di bulan Ramadan Yang effektif].
Sleep deprivation and exhaustion are common during Ramadan. It’s time to think seriously about fixing your sleep!
We all know that during Ramadan,our sleep pattern changes, with late-night prayers and early morning “sahur”. It compromise our sleep and our body does not get recharged.
We are creating awareness to close to 500 to 600 government servants on making sleep a priority.
Statistics of deaths and accidents between 1st March to 8th March has recorded a total of 117 deaths and a total of 14,645 accidents occurred during this period of 8 days of Ramadan and the contributing factors are microsleep and fatigue besides other causes. Source from: Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)
As what the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)said last year during Ramadan that microsleep and fatigue are the major cause of accidents.
