Delegate Short Bio: The Korean Sleep Research Society (KSRS; 대한수면연구학회) is a leading academic organization dedicated to advancing sleep medicine and promoting sleep health in Korea.
The society brings together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep disorders. KSRS actively engages in public education, academic research, and policy advocacy to enhance sleep health awareness and contribute to national and global sleep health initiatives.
Scope of Activity: Campaign
Activity: The Korean Sleep Research Society organized a comprehensive, nationwide campaign to celebrate World Sleep Day 2026 under the theme “Sleep Well, Live Better.”
This initiative integrated public education, academic discussion, and interactive engagement through multiple platforms:
Public Education via Live Broadcasting
An 8-day live YouTube broadcast series (March 3–13, 2026) was conducted in collaboration with a medical media channel. Sleep specialists delivered accessible, evidence-based information on sleep health, lifestyle, learning, exercise, and pediatric sleep.
Symposium and Press Conference
A scientific symposium and media briefing were held on March 6, 2026. Experts addressed key topics including sleep health in shift workers, national sleep trends, and policy challenges in sleep disorder treatment, followed by panel discussions and policy recommendations.
Interactive Public Exhibition and Campaign
An interactive exhibition, “Fine Sleeping: From Sunset to Sunrise,” engaged the public through educational displays and QR-based quizzes, encouraging active participation and awareness.
Media and Public Outreach
The campaign was further amplified through media coverage and public communication initiatives to increase awareness of sleep health.
Through this integrated approach, the campaign successfully connected scientific expertise with public engagement, promoting healthier sleep behaviors and elevating the importance of sleep health at both individual and societal levels.
