Scope of Activity: Campaign
Activity: As part of World Sleep Day 2026, we conducted a community-based sleep health campaign combining education and public engagement activities. The campaign included the dissemination of official World Sleep Day materials and the promotion of the Global Sleep Health Survey through QR code access, encouraging participants to assess their own sleep quality.
The activity involved direct interaction with participants in a small-group setting, where educational messages on sleep health were delivered informally. Key topics included the importance of sleep quality, the impact of lifestyle factors such as caffeine consumption and irregular schedules, and practical strategies to improve sleep hygiene. Participants were guided to reflect on their own sleep patterns and were encouraged to participate in the global survey as part of a broader international initiative.
In addition, visual materials such as posters and printed information sheets were used to reinforce key messages and increase engagement. The campaign targeted adults and community members, aiming to raise awareness that sleep is a fundamental pillar of health alongside nutrition and physical activity.
The goal of this activity is to increase public awareness of sleep quality, promote self-assessment of sleep health, and encourage behavioral changes that support better sleep habits. By linking local engagement with a global survey initiative, this campaign contributes to both community education and global data collection on sleep health.
Location: Pontianak, West Kalimantan Province.
