Delegate: Prof Zubia Veqar

Delegate Short Bio: I am an academician and research scientist with over 25 years of experience in physiotherapy education, clinical research and rehabilitation practice. Currently, I serve as Professor and Director at the Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India. My primary research interests focus on sleep health and its interaction with musculoskeletal pain, posture, physical activity and quality of life, and I have published extensively in these areas. I have led nationally funded projects, including a GIAN programme on non‑pharmacological interventions for sleep, and regularly mentor PhD and postgraduate students working on sleep‑related themes. Through my work, I aim to integrate sleep assessment and management into routine physiotherapy practice and to promote awareness of sleep as a core component of health.
