Short Bio: I am Dr Shaswati Sengupta Datta, MBBS, MS ENT, Gold Medalist from Calcutta Medical College. I did my Fellowship in Sleep Apnea Surgery from Asia Sleep Centre, Singapore. And received membership in Indian association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea (IASSA) and ESRS (European Sleep Research Society).
I worked as Clinical Tutor and Assistant Professor of ENT in different Medical Colleges in Kolkata, India for 6.5 years and now working as a Consultant ENT, Head-neck & Sleep Apnea Surgeon in this Hospital for last 5 years.
I avidly work towards awareness generation about sleep health and sleep apnea amongst clinicians, general population, specially children. We also have a dedicated sleep clinic to address the need of our patients. Different academic programs, CME are regularly organised here. I am also keen to keep myself updated about recent developments in the field of Sleep.
Activity: Activity I:
Multidisciplinary Panel Discussion on Sleep Health on the occasion of World Sleep Day 2025 – at Medica Superspecialty Hospital Kolkata, with esteemed specialists from cardiothoracic disease, endocrinology, gastro medicine, ENT and psychiatry. The program received a very good number of attendees(more than 90) and significant media coverage to generate awareness about sleep health.
Activity II:
Multidisciplinary workshop on Sleep Apnea and Sleep Health to generate awareness amongst clinicians.
Activity III:
Distribution of leaflets amongst patients and display of standee for World Sleep Day 2025- Making Sleep Health A Priority
