Short Bio: Dr. Monika Sharma, a seasoned sleep specialist with over 17 years of experience, is a leading expert in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM). Trained at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), USA, she is the visionary founder of Sleep Moksha, India’s first dedicated Behavioral Sleep Medicine clinic.
With a deep-rooted expertise in optimizing sleep for performance and recovery, Dr. Sharma has worked extensively with elite athletes, C-suite executives, and individuals with sleep disorders, helping them achieve restorative sleep and peak performance through evidence-based, non-invasive interventions.
Dr. Sharma was appointed as the first-ever Sleep Advisor for the Indian contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics, helping athletes align their circadian rhythms, enhance recovery, and optimize their performance on the global stage.

Activity: -Through online, offline, and media-based initiatives, various activities were conducted to raise awareness about the vital role of sleep health. Through interactive workshops, engaging webinars, live QnA sessions, expert interviews, and collaborative outreach, these activities aimed to inform and empower diverse audiences to prioritize and improve their sleep.

The objective of all these activities was to
Promote awareness about sleep’s role in physical, emotional, and mental health for teens and adults, as well as performance and recovery for high performers; red flags of common sleep disorders were discussed and evidence-based guidance on improving sleep hygiene was provided. Teens were educated about the link between sleep, mental health, and academic performance.
