Short Bio: Founded in 1993, the Hong Kong Society of Sleep Medicine (HKSSM) has served as a distinguished platform for sleep specialists and healthcare professionals from diverse disciplines to advance their expertise in sleep research and sleep disorders medicine. The Society is steadfastly committed to fostering academic exchange, promoting innovation, and advancing knowledge in the field of sleep medicine. Our primary mission is to elevate the standards of sleep health care and to raise public awareness about the critical importance of sleep health. Through these efforts, we strive to enhance practices and improve sleep health across all sectors of the community.
Activity: In celebration of the World Sleep Day, the Hong Kong Society of Sleep Medicine (HKSSM) proudly partnered with Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) to present a series of educational radio programs dedicated to promoting sleep health among the public. Esteemed specialists from various disciplines, including ENT, dental medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, and respiratory medicine, engaged in insightful discussions with RTHK hosts to share expert knowledge on a diverse range of sleep health topics. These programs were broadcast via RTHK’s radio channels, providing valuable and accessible information to the community, reinforcing HKSSM’s commitment to advancing public awareness of sleep-related health issues.
