Short Bio: I am a Nigerian Neurologist currently on a Sabbatical year at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital(EFSTH) in the Gambia. Gambia is a small low-income country in West Africa. The medical school started in 1999. Much as there are many intelligent Medical Doctors, there are few specialists. I am actually the first Neurologist in the country. Hence I work in the only tertiary hospital in the country, EFSTH.
I am passionate about teaching Neurology to Medical students, house officers and resident Doctors.
On the 17th of March( World sleep day), I gave a lecture on sleep disorders to the Department of Internal Medicine, EFSTH. To the best of my knowledge, this was the first of such a lecture in the Gambia. There were 25-30 persons in attendance.
