Activity: 2026 World Sleep Day Systematic Activity 2 – China’s Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Insomnia (2025 Edition) Lecture Tour -Changchun Station
On March 15, 2026, the lecture tour on China’s Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Insomnia (2025 Edition) was successfully held at Yinlu Hotel in Changchun. The event was hosted by the Beijing Health Promotion Association, undertaken by the Sleep Medicine Branch of Jilin Provincial Stroke Association, and chaired by Professor Wang Zan from the First Hospital of Jilin University. This conference brought together numerous experts in the field of sleep medicine in Jilin Province, who jointly focused on the interpretation and clinical application of the new guidelines, aiming to promote the standardized development of insomnia disorder diagnosis and treatment in the province.
The conference kicked off with an opening speech by Professor Wang Zan. She stated in her speech that sleep health is an important cornerstone of national health. Promoting standardized diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for insomnia on this occasion is not only an in-depth practice of the latest guidelines, but also a practical response to the urgent demand of the general patients for quality sleep. She emphasized that it is hoped that this lecture tour will further advance the homogenization of diagnostic and treatment levels among medical institutions at all levels in the province, truly bring scientific, standardized and compassionate sleep medicine services to the people, enable the people of Jilin Province to enjoy better sleep, and thus embrace a more wonderful life.
In the guideline interpretation session, Professor Wang Xinli from Jilin Provincial People’s Hospital conducted a systematic sorting and in-depth analysis of the core updated content of China’s Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Insomnia (2025 Edition), providing clear academic guidance for the participants.
Subsequently, the discussion session commenced. Professor Liu Yan (the Second Hospital of Jilin University), Professor Lu Yihua (the Second People’s Hospital of Yanbian), Professor Zheng Min (the Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University) and Professor Zhang Xinya (Tonghua Central Hospital) conducted enthusiastic exchanges and discussions on this topic combined with clinical practice and their own diagnostic and treatment experience.
Later, Professor Cai Yingchao (Meihekou Central Hospital), Professor Liu Jiale (Jilin Central Hospital), Professor Song Chunli (the Second Hospital of Jilin University) and Professor Zhang Xuehong (Baicheng City Hospital) discussed novel hypnotic drugs based on their clinical experience. Professor Zheng Shengzhe (the Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University) presided over this session.
In the special report and case sharing session, Professor Jiang Ligang from the Affiliated Hospital of Jilin Medical University presented a cutting-edge perspective on the novel drug treatment for sleep disorders.
The case analysis session was presided over by Professor Tian Runhui from the First Hospital of Jilin University, and Doctor Sun Qingqing from the same hospital shared clinical cases. Afterwards, Professor Ding Xianqin (Dongchang District People’s Hospital), Professor Kou Yuhong (Jilin Central Hospital), Professor Jin Feng (Dongfeng County Hospital), Professor Liu Ying (Liuhe County Hospital) and Professor Zhao Qi (Tonghua City People’s Hospital) contributed valuable insights in the subsequent discussion session, creating a strong academic atmosphere on site.
Finally, Professor Wang Zan made a conference summary, emphasizing the importance of guideline implementation and multidisciplinary collaboration, and expressing gratitude to the participating experts for their active participation. This lecture tour not only provided a high-quality academic exchange platform for sleep medicine practitioners in Jilin Province, but also injected new impetus into promoting the standardized diagnosis and treatment process of insomnia disorders, contributing Jilin’s strength to the global sleep cause.
