Activity: On the morning of March 21, the Chinese Sleep Research Society held the 2025 “World Sleep Day” China Theme Launch Conference at the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Auditorium. Academicians Lu Lin, Han Demin, and Wang Chen each delivered speeches at the event. Chairman Huang Zhi Li grandly announced this year’s theme—”Sleep Health, A Priority Choice.” The press conference was streamed live, with 39,900 viewers tuning in online.
Professor Wang Zan from the First Hospital of Jilin University won this year’s World Sleep Day theme competition. Her proposed theme, “Sleep Health, A Priority Choice,” was selected as the official theme for World Sleep Day in China. As a result, she was invited to provide a professional interpretation of the theme “Sleep Health, A Priority Choice.” Professor Wang Zan stated, “Sleep is a physiological necessity. Good sleep promotes growth and development, preserves energy, boosts immunity, aids tissue repair, and enhances memory. Poor sleep, on the other hand, harms health.” To achieve physical and mental health, and enjoy a fulfilling life, it is essential to focus on the six dimensions of sleep health. By consistently cultivating good sleep habits, we can enhance our well-being and contribute to our families and our nation.

At the Beijing Sleep Forum, hosted by the Sleep Disorders Committee of the Chinese Sleep Research Society, the “Enhua Cup” Sleep Disorder Diagnosis and Treatment Case Exchange Kickoff Meeting was held. Professor Wang Zan participated as a guest in the opening ceremony of the Case Exchange Conference. During the academic exchange session, Professor Wang Zan delivered lectures on two key topics: “Clinical Research Endpoint Evaluation and the Selection of Wake-Promoting Drugs” and “Research on Dynamic Cerebral Blood Flow Regulation in RBD (Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder).” She shared the latest research findings and insights from his team.Professor Wang Zan delivered a lecture on ” Research on Dynamic Cerebral Blood Flow Regulation in RBD (Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder).”
Professor Wang Zan served as the moderator in the conference’s subforum. Under the title “Why Such Excessive Daytime Sleepiness?”, she shared the diagnosis and treatment process of a unique case primarily featuring excessive daytime sleepiness.
