Scope of Activity: Individual activity

Activity: The “Sleep Well, Live Well — World Sleep Health Month” tabling event is designed to engage the student community by highlighting the vital role of quality sleep in physical and mental well-being. Our primary goal is to raise awareness about how good sleep supports learning, memory, mood, and overall health, while addressing the common challenges students face in maintaining healthy sleep habits.

To achieve this, we have planned several interactive and educational activities tailored to our diverse student audience:

1. Sleep Hygiene Tips Table:
This station provides evidence-based information through posters and handouts on practical strategies for improving sleep habits. By sharing tips such as maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, reducing screen time before bedtime, and managing caffeine intake, we aim to empower students with actionable steps to enhance their sleep quality. Additionally, information on common sleep disorders and guidance on when to seek professional help helps students recognize when further support may be necessary.

2. Interactive Sleep Quiz:
Using a digital quiz accessible via a QR code, students can quickly assess their own sleep habits and identify specific areas for improvement. By offering small incentives like stickers or bookmarks with sleep tips, we encourage participation and make self-reflection engaging, fostering greater awareness of personal sleep health.

3. Sleep Activity (Visualization/Guided Imagery):
This activity introduces students to a simple stress-management technique—guided imagery—that can improve sleep quality. By practicing visualization exercises in a supportive environment, participants learn a practical tool they can use independently to reduce anxiety and promote restful sleep.

4. Sleep Trivia:
The trivia game creates a fun and interactive way for students to learn interesting facts about sleep. By spinning a wheel and answering questions to win prizes, students engage with the topic in an enjoyable manner, reinforcing key messages about sleep health.

5. Resource Sharing & Referral Cards:
We distribute cards listing campus wellness resources such as counseling services, health clinics, and workshops focused on stress and sleep management. This ensures students are aware of where to find ongoing support beyond the event.

6. Giveaway Table:
To encourage relaxation and better sleep practices, we offer practical giveaways including eye masks, calming kits, herbal tea bags, and earmuffs. These items serve as reminders for students to prioritize their sleep health and self-care.

Overall, the event fosters a welcoming atmosphere that combines education, self-assessment, relaxation techniques, and community support. It is designed to meet students where they are, equipping them with knowledge and tools to improve their sleep hygiene and ultimately enhance their academic success and well-being.
