Delegate: Corkum LABS (Penny Corkum)
Delegate Short Bio: Corkum LABS is located in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University, and is led by Dr. Penny Corkum, a Professor and Child Clinical and School Psychologist.
The research conducted at Corkum LABS (Learning/Attention/Behaviour/Sleep) aims to develop knowledge and skills of caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers who live and work with typically developed children and children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
We use innovative technology to deliver online, evidence-based interventions. Our belief is that through our accessible and effective interventions, we will help improve the quality of life for children and those people that support them (i.e., parents, teachers, healthcare providers).
Scope of Activity: Individual activity
Activity: Corkum LABS developed a bilingual evidence-based resource on healthy sleep practices for children. This resources will be shared in schools across Nova Scotia (Canada) on World Sleep Day, as well as on the Better Nights, Better Days social media.
